P3: Did Palestine's Great Revolt (1936-1939) Set the Stage for Oct 7?

Got questions about the current situation in Israel/Palestine? Almost all the answers lie in the Great Arab Revolt of 1936. How is that possible, when the modern state of Israel wasn’t even established until 1948?!
This three-part series explores the roots of a seemingly intractable conflict, highlighting unknown figures and outlining what might have been.

Cristiana M.M. ,

One of the most important educational podcasts I’ve listened to recently

I’ve been an avid consumer of current news, Israel/Jewish history, and politics ever since October 7, 2023. I had a lot of unanswered questions or simply issues that needed to be double or triple checked to make sense of everything that has been happening lately in Israel/ Gaza and almost the vast majority of Western countries (protests, demonstrations, etc.). This was due to the fact that almost everyone nowadays seems to want to start history whenever it best serves their purposes - but not this particular podcast.
So when I came across Noam’s non-partisan podcast, some things that didn’t make sense before suddenly became more much more clear. The podcast provides a thorough understanding of all the different sides and views about Israel’s history and its format is highly enjoyable and thought provoking. The latter part is the most important, as he’s not simply telling his audience what to think, but asking key questions they need to answer themselves, by providing them with a lot of data to understand and process.
Noam is one of the best educators in Jewish history of our time. Thank you Noam and team!

Important. Timeless yet essential for today.

This podcast sheds an important and honest light on arguably the most controversial country in the world. It offers clear and balanced insight into Israel’s history and debunks so much of the vile propaganda and antisemitic misinformation circulating in recent months. Highly recommend!
