S2 EP 16 - Holding focus on what is important - Strategies

We apologize for being away for a few weeks, with the Hong Kong Lockdowns and health concerns it's been a while since we posted. We miss you all and are excited to share this LONG podcast unedited just for you the Vocal Visionaries!

In this episode, we talked about how to hold focus on what is important. It is a fun exercise, we mentioned earlier which is being able to listen to someone be able to listen to yourself and self reflect, and find out the intent of the conversation identify the problems these things are important.

Then we discussed why focusing on the conversation and what the point of this conversation is,  to not derail yourself don’t do not allow yourself to be derailed by your thoughts of rejection or concern for yourself that you’re not saying what you need to say but in terms of just being with the conversation if you can focus on what’s important on that it doesn’t matter the outcome of the conversation because it’s an ongoing thing especially if you’re planning on having this conversation is for the future relationship to continue, You will have time to revisit these conversations in the future knowing that if you’re focusing on ally then that you are not listening to you so what is important is what’s important to the conversation

S2 EP15 - Keeping the conversation on track - Re- Directing

In this episode, we discuss: Keeping the conversation on track - redirecting techniques.

We all want to keep the conversation on track so know where you’re at within the interaction. We share how many times the conversation will go off track because the other person will redirect the conversation, for multiple reasons, maybe because they feel uncomfortable having a conversation at that time or oftentimes whether not we realize it odd chats also seem to take the conversation off track. If we’re scared to say something to bring it back we miss the opportunity to drive this point home especially if you’re talking about something it’s very difficult. 1. What is the outcome you're looking to achieve?

    2. What is the best-case scenario?

    3. What is the worst-case scenario?

    4. What would it look like if the conversation was never had, whats the impact of that?

It's a space to always go back to if needed.

in this episode's Next Actions we discuss what you can do to create the workflow to know what to say within the context of the conversation.

S2 EP12 - Identify What Needs to Be Said

S2 EP12 - Identify What Needs to Be Said

In this episode we talk about how to identify what needs to be said, I mean we all struggle with saying what we want to say, right? Maybe it's because we fear the reaction of someone else, or we don't know what that means for the conversation. Let's dive into both ideas and are clear on what needs to be said before we chat. So today we talk about ways to see how it will go and then we can be clear about what we want to say to get an intended result.

In this episode's Next Actions we ask you to write about the fear you have going into the conversation by clarifying the best and worst-case outcome and then providing a thesis statement, one sentence that would explain the conversation.
