    Live Appropriately

    Live Appropriately

Over the last two weeks, as we have talked about money, we have focused on giving and saving—but what about spending? How does the Bible help us understand our standard of living? This week, we will look at one text that answers these questions and gives us two guardrails so that we don’t get sidetracked in handling our finances.

    Save Wisely

    Save Wisely

According to one survey, the #1 New Year’s resolution for 2024 was “saving more money.” Is that true for you? Right now, would you like to be saving more? With these questions in mind, as we continue our series on The Generous Life we will look at the Bible’s discussion of saving and what it means to save wisely.

    Give Generously

    Give Generously

On a regular basis, we are bombarded with countless messages about how we can spend our money and handle our resources. In the midst of that information overload, the Bible invites us to embrace three foundational principles so that we can manage our finances well. This Sunday we will began examining these three themes. Furthermore, along the way, we will understand that managing money isn’t simply about numbers and percentages, it’s ultimately a matter of the heart.

    The Responsibility

    The Responsibility

Woven throughout Scripture is the recognition that God owns everything. This reality leads to our responsibility in how we manage God’s resources well. This Sunday, we will look at 3 principles for financial responsibility.

    The Opportunity

    The Opportunity

In Acts 20, we read one of the most provocative statements that Jesus ever made: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” With this beatitude, Jesus invites us to think about our money and resources differently. However, it’s also a statement that raises all types of questions: Can this really be true? Can we take Jesus seriously? And, if we take him seriously, what does this look like in my life? This Sunday we will begin answering those questions in a new sermon series, as we explore Jesus’ invitation to “The Generous Life.”
