Six years ago we decided to start a creative project and I am not sure we thought about it continuing on, yet each year we have been artistic in a way that shares a bit of what Christmas means to us. Jon writes and records a Christmas song and Rebecca does a beautiful art piece. As you now have it in your hands you can see that it is not just for us, it is actually for you.
This year we found ourselves pondering the word “catalyst”. A Catalyst is a person or thing that causes an event. Or in other words, someone or something that causes a big change. It is a word that has sat firmly at the centre of the Christmas story for over 2000 years. From the Old testament legalistic ways of sacrifice and worship to the simplistic world of salvation through God’s mercy and grace, and the catalyst of this change was a small baby into a manger laid.

This year I wrote 2 pieces of music and was unsure as to which one I would write lyrics for and so here is one of those tracks that for now is a cool laid back instrumental track... Ideally the soundtrack to your own pondering of what Christmas really means and how it all started.
