Exodus 6:10 So the LORD said to Moses, [11] “Go in, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the people of Israel go out of his land.” [12] But Moses said to the LORD, “Behold, the people of Israel have not listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?” [13] But the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron and gave them a charge about the people of Israel and about Pharaoh king of Egypt: to bring the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt. [14] These are the heads of their fathers ’houses: the sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi; these are the clans of Reuben. [15] The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the clans of Simeon. [16] These are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari, the years of the life of Levi being 137 years. [17] The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, by their clans. [18] The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, the years of the life of Kohath being 133 years. [19] The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of the Levites according to their generations. [20] Amram took as his wife Jochebed his father’s sister, and she bore him Aaron and Moses, the years of the life of Amram being 137 years. [21] The sons of Izhar: Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri. [22] The sons of Uzziel: Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri. [23] Aaron took as his wife Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab and the sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. [24] The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph; these are the clans of the Korahites. [25] Eleazar, Aaron’s son, took as his wife one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers ’houses of the Levites by their clans. [26] These are the Aaron and Moses to whom the LORD said: “Bring out the people of Israel from the land of Egypt by their hosts.” [27] It was they who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt about bringing out the people of Israel from Egypt, this Moses and this Aaron. [28] On the day when the LORD spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt, [29] the LORD said to Moses, “I am the LORD; tell Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say to you.” [30] But Moses said to the LORD, “Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips. How will Pharaoh listen to me?”
Exodus 7:1 And the LORD said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet. [2] You shall speak all that I command you, and your brother Aaron shall tell Pharaoh to let the people of Israel go out of his land. [3] But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, [4] Pharaoh will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and bring my hosts, my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great acts of judgment. [5] The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring out the people of Israel from among them.” [6] Moses and Aaron did so; they did just as the LORD commanded them. [7] Now Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.
1 Corinthians 4:1 This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Psalm 45:1 My heart overflows with a pleasing theme; I address my verses to the king; my tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe. [2] You are the most handsome of the sons of men; grace is poured upon your lips; therefore God has blessed you forever. [3] Gird your sword on your thigh, O mighty one, in your splendor and majesty! [4] In your majesty ride out victoriously for the cause of truth and meekness and righteousness; let your right hand teach you awesome deeds! [5] Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; the peoples fall under you. [6] Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness; [7] you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions; [8] your robes are all fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia. From ivory palaces stringed instruments make you glad; [9] daughters of kings are among your ladies of honor; at your right hand stands the queen in gold of Ophir. [10] Hear, O daughter, and consider, and incline your ear: forget your people and your father's house, [11] and the king will desire your beauty. Since he is your lord, bow to him. [12] The people of Tyre will seek your favor with gifts, the richest of the people. [13] All glorious is the princess in her chamber, with robes interwoven with gold. [14] In many-colored robes she is led to the king, with her virgin companions following behind her. [15] With joy and gladness they are led along as they enter the palace of the king. [16] In place of your fathers shall be your sons; you will make them princes in all the earth. [17] I will cause your name to be remembered in all generations; therefore nations will praise you forever and ever.
Christ is the true majestic King and, by the union with his beautiful bride (the Church), future generations will be blessed.      I.  Initial Application       A.  The Brilliance of the King (1-9)       B.  The Bride of the King (10-15)       C.  The Blessings for the King (16-17)II.  True Application       A.  The Brilliance of the King (1-9)       B.  The Bride of the King (10-15)       C.  The Blessings for the King (16-17)

    Sermon: Kingdom Righteousness

    Sermon: Kingdom Righteousness

    “Kingdom Righteousness”

Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. [18] For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. [19] Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. [20] For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Through our Messiah King, Jesus, we are able to say “Oh how I love your law!”        •    How does Jesus “fulfill” the Law and the Prophets?        •    What was the error of the Pharisees regarding the Law and righteousness?        •    What place does the Law have in the life of a Christian?
