The Art of Negotiation with NBA Agent Danielle Cantor

The Art of Negotiation with NBA Agent Danielle Cantor

Get ready for an exclusive peek into the world of Danielle Cantor, one of the very few women agents in the NBA. Calling Danielle "just" an NBA agent, just doesn't do her justice. From teaching negotiation at Law School to mentoring young women in sports, she's all about making an impact far beyond the basketball court.

What makes this episode truly special? Well, Danielle prefers to stay behind the scenes, getting shit done without seeking the spotlight. She has only granted one interview with The Washington Post, turning down major media platforms like ESPN and Sports Illustrated over the years.

But today, she's here to share her story with the She GOAT community and inspire all of us!

With over 20 years of experience her career and influence extends far beyond the confines of the NBA: from teaching negotiations at Law School, to advising the National Women's Soccer League Player Association, and mentoring a network of young women in sports, Danielle's impact is undeniable. Join us as we dive deep into Danielle Cantor's story, where she opens up about:

    - Her journey, how she became an NBA player's agent and what is like to thrive in a male-dominated industry (spoiler: she didn't realize she was one of the very few female agents in the NBA until a Washington Post reporter phoned her for an interview and brought it to her attention)

    - "Confidence comes from repeated exposure" - Danielle's insights on confidence, impostor syndrome, and how to master the art of negotiation.

    - "My passion is helping others unlocking their potential" - What are Danielle's aspirations for the future? From her ambition to join an ownership group and make a significant impact to her unwavering commitment to paving the way for the next generation (Aaaaaaand guess what? She's also coaching youth soccer! Isn't that incredibly inspiring?)

Whether you're a sports fan, an aspiring agent, or simply in need of some inspiration, you're in for a treat. Welcome to She GOAT!

PS. We had so much to talk about that we might do a part 2! Stay tuned my loves and share this episode with your friends, family, lovers or with your favorite situationship..as always, spread the love like Nutella on toast 3

COPA 71 - The Lost Lionesses - with football player Leah Caleb

In this episode we dig into the incredible story of the forgotten (til now) 1971 Women's World Cup in Mexico, completely erased by history.
Thanks to the documentary COPA 71, produced by Serena and Venus Williams, this incredible event is finally getting the spotlight it deserves and.. a second life!

    ** You won't believe it **

A huge Women's World Cup took place in Mexico City in 1971, complete with sponsors, paparazzi, merchandise, and a roaring crowd of over 100,000 at the opening match. But....this tournament was completely dismissed by FIFA and football national associations, and then completely erased from history! The English Football Association punished the players and manager: the team's manager Harry Batt was blacklisted for life and all the players received bans ranging between 3months and 12 from playing football. Thanks to the documentary COPA 71, these amazing players, the "Lost Lionesses," are finally getting the recognition they deserve as the movie brings this epic story back to life. Today's guest is Leah Caleb, who at just 13 was the youngest player of the squad. Hit play to know more about this story!

    She Got Game!

I got to chat with the amazing Olivia "Liv" Harness, a 13-year-old basketball phenom from Arizona.  This young girl started dribbling after watching her sister Tatiana train with their dad, and now she's got skills that are going VIRAL! She even went on NBA on TNT and told Shaquille O'Neal she could "drop" him with one move.  How cool is that?!

But Liv's more than just insane talent. Talking to her, I realized just how much fire and willpower someone can have at such a young age.  We talked about:

Liv's incredible work ethic and dedication to the game. This girl puts in the HOURS!
How Diana Taurasi inspires Liv both on and off the court.
How Liv gives back to her community and uses her platform to make a positive impact.
