Before Saturn's Return RS

Season One of Before Saturn's Return has been epic so the only way to end it is with a bang - cue Serena Fucking Kerrigan - & yes that's legally her middle name.

SFK is a powerhouse and known as the Queen of Confidence. Serena who previously worked at Refinery 29 as a video producer, decided to quit her job and focus solely on building her brand and continuing to become the bad ass she is today. 

During the pandemic, Serena decided to start a live online dating show on instagram called Let's Fucking Date and went viral for her charismatic personality and take-no-shit attitude. She currently runs Let's Fucking Date - her platform where she inspires women to be their best selves and feel confident in dating, and has also created a product line (including an epic card game) to assist whenever you might need a little help. 

SFK was a dream guest and I'm so honored to have her help close out season one. This episode is filled with motivation and inspiration to chase your dreams and do whatever the F you want in life.

This week's episode is short and sweet but filled with exciting updates...

I've decided to break the podcast into seasons and next week will be the season finale of season 1! We've officially hit 20 episodes in season one with each one more special than the last. We've heard from incredible guests and taken all kinds of journeys together which have made this first season one to remember. 

But just because there will be a little break in new episodes, doesn't mean we won't be still hanging out. I've met so many amazing people along this journey, whether it be guests or listeners, and I feel selfish keeping you all to myself so I've decided to launch an online community! I've created a facebook group where we can all meet, chat, and exchange stories about our own wake up calls from the universe!

Lauren Power of Lauren Power Wine & Tre Amici Wine joins us to discuss how she joined her family business and found her passion for wine after facing her struggles with mental health. 

Originally, Lauren had no interest in ever working her family's business of importing wine. However, life would show her differently. After hitting rock bottom and being forced to face her demons by going into treatment for her mental health, Lauren needed a job and started working for her parents a couple days a week.  

Fast forward to today, Lauren has a platform where she combines her love of wine and passion for wine education with honest and raw conversations about mental health and how she proudly got to where she is today. 

This episode is one of my favorites and the conversation was very open and inspiring. Lauren tells us about how finding her passion for wine and the cultures she was able to learn from, saved her. 

Of course, we had some fun as well and talked about my favorite topic - wine! She gives tips to newbies on what wines to start with and try and also what some of her favorite memories she's made so far working in the industry.

Roomy Candles co-founders, Doug Bicknese and Guido Cuomo join us this week to discuss how a random “pandemic project” launched them into creating the small business they are both very passionate about today. 
While spending a good portion of the last year inside, Doug and Guido decided that instead of ordering candles from big retailers and other vendors, they would start making them in the house as something to keep busy. Little did they know, it would lead to starting a business that today has a full product line of candles and in home fragrances. 
Doug & Guido have full time careers in finance, are engaged to be married, and simultaneously running Roomy Candles out of their home. The story of how this has evolved to more than a project and how they have gotten so far so quickly is quite inspiring.  This episode serves as proof that sometimes you don’t even realize the impact of what you’re creating until you just take a chance and go for it.
Roomy Candles is an LGBTQIA+ owned small business and focuses on creating clean, non-toxic in home fragrances that are hand poured in their home while creating diversity in the industry and giving back to various charities. Their favorite motto? “Made with love by two men in love” and you can feel it in every product your purchase.

Karen Violetti, owner of Arquiflora, joins us to discuss how she combined her career and her passion to create a business. 
While Karen was in school to become an architect, her mother decided to quit her 25 year career in banking an open her dream business - a flower shop. Originally repelled by joining a family business, Karen continued her career in architecture and went on to work for a firm full time. But being a great daughter, she still helped her mom at the shop on weekends and little did she know, she discovered her love for flowers. 
Fast forward to today and after a pandemic year, it took Karen stumbling across her late grandmother’s heirlooms to realize she could create a business from combining her career and her passion. Enter Arquiflora. 
Arquiflora is Karen’s company that specializes in “building” thoughtfully planned out bouquets for brides and then preserving them to create family heirlooms that can be passed down through generations. The name Arquiflora is a literal combination of architecture and florals and the business has allowed Karen to express her creativity and abilities to her true potential. We talk all about her journey to getting where she is now and what challenges and lessons she learned along the way.

Danielle Jathas, also known as, The High Vibe Witch on Instagram, joins us this week to explain what a Human Design Chart is and what it means to be a Light Worker. 
A couple years ago, Danielle had a terrible mindset and was led down a path in the holistic world that taught her all about the power of energy. Fast forward to today, Danielle is a Light Worker and someone who helps channel and move positive energy through her clients’ bodies. 
Most importantly, Danielle is a Human Design Chart reader which is fascinating. Much like astrology, Human Design charts are created based on your name, birthday, and time of birth and pre-determine lots of key parts of your personality. 
To help the audience understand it best, the second half of our interview is Danielle giving me a live Human Design chart reading and I can honestly say, I was mind blown.
