385. Exploring the lack of progress on biodiversity and conservation with author of “Wild Quests”, Satyajit Das Low Tox Life

    • Alternative Health

This podcast is a big exploration of several important topics of our times (Das hates the word ‘conversation’ and shares why in the show)

People feel jaded seeing injustices inflicted on people, from corporate to political to personal, without a sense of real accountability for actions taken and how that’s impacting everything from polarization to lack of success in environmental care and regeneration. The corporatisation of not-for-profits and climate change are feeding into many people’s scepticism that the policies and solutions being tabled will get us results. Wild Animals and Das’ book “Wild Quests” to help remind us what needs our attention and witness. Why “Donate $1 a day to save the Koala/Nature reserve/World” is not working. Living with our own contradictions - impossible to escape if we want to unite over what will make a difference.
Das isn’t here to give people comfortable ‘off ramps’ and this was definitely a thought provoking hour exploring things we’re all often thinking about, also often despairing over the state of, and yet never moving forward and we aim to light a fire or remind us to find our overlaps and common ways to move forward.
I hope you love it as much as I did, your host, Alexx
