Bates, who is known for hitting 60 yarders with ease at Ford Field, will compete with Mike Badgley and James Turner for the kicking job. It is a job that is in flux every year for the Lions it seems. Bates was All-UFL after making 17 field goals during the season for the Panthers. In addition, should the Lions entertain bringing back Adrian Martinez?
