Conwy's Little Mermaid - Read by Erwyd le Fol, the Conwy Jester

Conwy's Little Mermaid - Read by Erwyd le Fol, the Conwy Jester

Long before Hans Christian Andersen put pen to paper to write his seminal work "The Little Mermaid" a little town on the North Wales coast was the scene of its very own mermaid tale.

The Conwy Mermaid is a 900-year-old legend that pre-dates the invasion of Wales by the English King, Edward 1st.

The best place to listen to this story is within The Jester's Tower, Conwy.

    Season 2 is Coming

    Season 2 is Coming

Season 2 of Fireside Stories is coming... With a couple of changes.

Firstly, we will now be releasing new episodes on a Tuesday at 5pm instead of the old time slot of Thursdays at 7am. This means each new episode will be ready for you to download in time for your morning commute.

The first episode of Season 2 is scheduled to be released on May 4th.

And secondly, we're changing the name of the podcast. We've noticed that there are several podcasts already called Fireside Stories, so we're changing the name of this podcast to Alexander Maberry's Tales from the Tower.
