Amazing Podcast
Hey guys,
first off I love the show and am glad to have come across you guys as well as other entertaining/informative podcasts in the wake of the Damian Lillard trade 🙏🏿☺️
Now to my question is there a player that you guys think is overrated but is rated 10-15 spots higher than you would consider appropriate.... my example: John Stockton (a top 20-30 player for many, but for me if anything around 35): his highest ranking in MVP voting was 7th (Westbrook in 2016, Pippen in 1996 and Kobe in 2003, besides legends were still serious candidates for the award) negative record in the postseason (85-88 record, more first round exits [9] than Conference Finals [5]), has been put in his place by Sleepy Floyd (1987), Kevin Johnson (1990), Terry Porter (1992), Kenny Smith (1995), Gary Payton (1996), and absurd pick-and-roll frequency has increased the number of assists inflationarily.
And I know about his accomplishments like 10-time All-NBA, 9-time All-Star, 5-time All-Defense, 9-time AST Champ, 2-time STL Champ, reaching the postseason every season and outstanding passing, defense and stamina. (46 players have 10+ All-Star selections, 27 players have 10+ All-NBA selections, 45 players have 5+ All-Defense selections, and we've had 36 MVPs.
