CALM Conversations about Learning is going in deep! So, if you’re a parent or educator who also happens to be a visionary; if you believe in communities more than you believe in institutions; if you recognize that it will take a village of VISIONARIES with viable ideas, insights and skill sets to educate our babies- then dive in because this is your education podcast!I am d. Zenani Mzube, educator, parent, grandparent and Restorative Practices trainer and I believe that educating is synonymous with relating and that the teacher-parent relationship is central to children’s learning. CALM Conversations about Learning (AKA C-CaL) aims to bring that relationship to a common space where teachers, parents- and our young folks share their vision of education, one conversation at a time. Together…We’ll unpack the experiences, insights, tough-love lessons, and unexpected gifts that have arisen from Pandemic Schooling.We’ll explore three foundational questions to help clarify our vision of education. Plus... I’ll do some educational nerding (Yes, if ‘adulting’ can be a thing, so can nerding!) to help you get CALM with my best practice Pillars for educating through relating!You can expect a new episode to drop every Thursday and whether the conversation is with a guest, a roundtable of students or between you and me, we’ll relate, empathize, store and trust our way to re-envisioning our children’s education WITH the folks who matter most, FOR the folks who matter most- and that just might be you, so subscribe and join us for a conversation about the “new normal” that our children, teachers and parents actually deserve.
