Community Taylor Talks: Serve. Work. Connect.

Happy Friday!
The other night as Beckett was doing his Social Studies homework with Jess. She asked him what a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common was. He answered. Community
I was reminded of the importance of community.
It’s why Jess and I moved back to Henderson. To be a part of a community. To raise our family.
When we started Striv I knew how important it was going to be to build a community.
I quickly learned about the education space and how passionate everyone was about their “community” - When I experienced this I knew this is where I was supposed to be.
People were willing and wanted to share, collaborate and learn from each other. I ended up being a connector between teachers, students and schools across the state of NE.
Building a community takes time. Patience, hard work and motivation. You have to be all in. A community supports and helps each other.
If you aren’t part of a community where it is physical or digital…find a place where you are appreciated and loved. That could be a church, cafe, work, school, or right here on Facebook in a group or forum.
