Brian Haas DO, is a dedicated hospitalist, coach, consultant and physician leader who is passionate about all aspects of the clinical encounter, with specific interests in the patient and clinician experience. He seeks to improve the patient experience through enhancing provider engagement and satisfaction. In today's episode he speaks about burnout, a condition that affects mostly the amygdala. Dr. Haas received his medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008 and his training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics from the University of Missouri Kansas City in 2013. Dr. Haas started work as a Hospitalist at Centerpoint Medical Center immediately after residency, where he was an exceptionally active member of the medical staff, as a member and chair of a number of committees. He found a passion in leadership and was the Associate Medical Director from 2016 until leaving in 2021. Dr. Haas has received recognition for his excellent interactions with patient and staff when he was awarded the physician partner award from both the nursing and therapy departments in 2014 and 2018 respectively. www.haashealth.org
