Episode 4: Billionaires and Battle Robots

In which we abandon whatever we were talking about before, Evan debuts a new segment, Max does a horrible Bernie Sanders impression, and we get into the weeds about whether a robot could effectively fight a human under mixed martial arts rules.

Episode 3: Max Likes Quantum Consciousness, Evan Hates Thermodynamics, and Human Diversity

Episode 3: Max Likes Quantum Consciousness, Evan Hates Thermodynamics, and Human Diversity

For this (slightly sleepy) episode, we start off by expanding a little bit on the theory of quantum consciousness, which has been preoccupying more and more of Max's time. Evan has some reservations, particularly when we come to a digression about the laws of thermodynamics. Evan is curious about the phenotypic diversity of different groups of humans, particularly when it comes to sports, and we finish up by addressing the controversial status of transgender athletes in competition.

Next time: evolutionary theory (for dummies?)

Obligatory Note: If you think the podcast is interesting, do us a solid and share it with a friend. We want to keep pumping these out, and we're just getting started. Thanks to everyone that's listened so far: we're going to be investing in some better equipment and production value. The next episode should be a step up from here.

Episode 2: On Strategy, The Use of Jargon, Good Narrators, and Quantum Consciousness?

Episode 2: On Strategy, The Use of Jargon, Good Narrators, and Quantum Consciousness?

On this episode of the Free to Disagree Podcast, Max and Evan argue about the definition and nature of Strategy, Evan complains about the inaccessibility of science, the boys go over what the difference between the Liberal Party of Canada and liberalism, Max apparently despises Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and is convinced that consciousness might have something to do with Quantum Mechanics. If any of that seems interesting, or if you like to listen to these two dudes yell at each other about random (yet strangely connected) stuff: this episode is worth a listen.

Episode 1: Climate Change is Harder Than We Thought, A Brief Critique of Postpositivism, and Some Thoughts on Weed

Tonight on the podcast we talked about some particularly challenging things about climate change, Evan discovers a fatal flaw in post-positivism, and we talk a little bit about cannabis, how we use it, and how it's viewed.

    Quote of the podcast:

"Weed is the toddler that reminds you how cool everything is."

Episode 0: Who The Hell Are We And What The Hell Are We Doing?

Hey. This is an introductory episode just laying out who we are and what our (tentative) goals are for this podcast. Listen to it for a ten-minute sampler of what talking with us is like. Hope you dig.
