Dear, soft, summer-born listeners,

We cannot say we missed you. Unfortunately, our lives are too glittered with intrigue, deceit, and/or desire to say that we missed you. I cannot, sorry, we cannot, spare an ounce of care for those who are not bold enough to insert themselves into our world. For those who sit idly by.....waiting....for years......to hear a podcast episode the never came. No. Not a thought was spared on the likes of people like this, but one (singular) was given to the dwindling clout we had chased and effortlessly won. The ichor in our cups running low, was enough to make us come back, and you wouldn't want to deny us this easily earned attention would you?

Today, like the generous philanthropists we are, we brought two guests onto the podcast to allow them a moment's respite from the harsh southern winter. That's really all there is to it. It's not a problem that we had to cradle their frostbitten feet in our laps or kiss away their frozen tears. Rather, we took pleasure, joy, in seeing their faces light up at the sound of running water and the "nya nya" noises Saoirse makes when she's content. I never want them to go another night without Saoirse's long hands reaching out for a stroke. Have you ever looked in the mirror and not been able to tell what kind of stew you are? I know, it's painful, humiliating, and downright shameful to walk around town with no stew type to identify as. If you sometimes think to yourself, "Dear God, whisper sweet stew things in my ear. Tell me who I am so that I may face Lucifer at the pearly gates and breathe beef steam onto his fires. Disembowel with sporks and foons all who may walk through the sweet willows still unaware of me for I shall proclaim it from the mountain tops."

It's not often that the men we meet make any impression on us whatsoever. The years have weathered and hardened us to be skeptical of all who bear that chromosomal arrangement. To make matters worse, dating apps are an arena for men to fight over the affections of women who use those cute little pick-up lines as self-esteem boosts without any commitment. Yet somehow, one managed to rise above the cloud of doubt. He fought through every social norm thought by many to be natural sense, and made such an impact on our trio in just one night, that eight months later we just had to invite him back to ask "why?".
