#1- Men In Spandex
This is the pilot episode of Gutter Art, a podcast where I discuss comics, graphic novels, and comic book movies. My name is Jeffry Catalano, and I'm joined by my brother Jonny Catalano on the first episode of my podcast. We start the show by discussing Chloe Zhao, the recent Oscar winner for Best Director, and her move to Marvel Studio to direct The Eternals. Talking Chloe Zhao leads my brother and I to wider discussion about superhero films, especially those made by Marvel and DC studios. What's the next phenomenon in film going to be after superheroes, we wonder. My brother and I wind the first episode down by talking about Scalped, a comic series created by Jason Aaron and R.M. Guera.
