    Every Dark Cloud Has a Silver Lining

    In this episode, we go to the only Muslim school in Kampala that supported over 60 expectant students in the lower and upper classes to continue their studies during the COVID-19 pandemic. At that time, most schools had declined to admit expectant students.



    Because of the assistance she rendered to pregnant students, recently, Buyiiza, the headteacher received an award from the Rotary Club of Kampala Kibuli for being an exemplary teacher. In addition, she also received another award from Makerere Business School as an outstanding servant leader for supporting a girl child during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The application was invented after the founder Fredrick Ouko faced discrimination during an interview. It is available on three platforms and has engaged about 2,000 PWDs; over 400 of whom have been successfully linked with employment.

David Mugambi who has so far impacted tens of youths says he is doing so to create opportunities as well as create awareness of the need for pastoralists to diversify from pastoralism to other means of livelihood.
