Welcome to the Happy or Right Podcast.

I, Ian, started this podcast after some very long nights with my wife, Andrea (no, not like that, get your head out of the gutter). We would debate long into the night about all sort of subjects and with a passion/determination that I thought others would like to see/hear. And better yet, after it's all said and done, there are no lingering resentments (that I am aware of).

I figured why not have the debates so that you, the listeners, don't end up sleeping on couch after a lengthy debate on who controls the remote. Let us hash it out for you!

Main topics include everything from the afterlife and work ethic all the way to who controls the remote and doing dishes. Be forewarned, while our episodes will have a main debate, we go on tangents frequently, so you never quite know what you are going to get. We'll have a main subjects and then reoccurring segments ("Is this racist?", "Is this sexist?" are common ones.)

Please email us with your thoughts and ideas (happyorrightpodcast@gmail.com). If they are good, we'll add them to our debate list. If they are bad, we'll make fun of them on the podcast (so really it's win-win for the listeners).

EP #10 - Microwaves, The Secret Killer?

EP #10 - Microwaves, The Secret Killer?

Yes, Yes, we're still here. Still making episodes, still healthy. We've just been losing track of time. It's a long time to be under quarantine. Some would say I'm losing my mind (Andrea said just this).
So here we are with a brand spanking new episode. With a slightly longer running time to make up for our absence!
I hear you asking yourself "What's this episode about"? Well if you just hold your damn horses I'll tell you.
Microwaves! (yes, really.) I bet you're wondering, "Is that all?" HELL NO!
We talk about what we're streaming! We talk about face-masks! We dabbled in politics (sorry!).
    So get to listening!

EP #9 - I don't even know what day it is anymore

EP #9 - I don't even know what day it is anymore

Ok, it's been even longer since we published an episode. You'd think we'd have all the time in the world but when you've been under quarantined for this long there just isn't all that much to say to your significant other that hasn't already been said.
But we pulled it together and voila! Here it is for all to listen.
So what did we talk about? Tiger King, duh! Actually, there isn't much about it, but we do mention it more than once. We talk about the timeline of our families (like I said we don't have all that much to say). Andrea gets in a few zingers (and I take them like a champ).
There are more topics we talked about, more that I can list here, so listen up! Gotta do something while your at home anyway.

EP #8 - Cracking open a corona... virus

EP #8 - Cracking open a corona... virus

Well it's been awhile since we published an episode... I suppose that's to be expected when THE WORLD IS ENDING!
But seriously, it's nice being able to spend some time at home with the family... It would be nicer if the coronavirus didn't MAKE us stay at home, but hey, beggars can't be choosers.
So what did we talk about? Well we talked about the coronavirus. Anything else? No, not really. Or did we? Listen and find out.
And to all those listeners stuck at home with people they don't like, we're here for you. Just pop those earphones in, and let us make little of all your worries.

EP #7 - I AM the philosopher king! (with Josh & Alex)

EP #7 - I AM the philosopher king! (with Josh & Alex)

Phew! We went long in this one... and we (mainly me) had a bit too much to drink during it (jeez, how many times did I say "just to be clear..." or the word "literally").
In this one, we had our 2nd round of guests, Josh and Alex. I've known Josh since middle school (though he only remembers me from high school) and I've known Alex for a few years now (she introduced Kingston to the joys of playing piano).
What did we talk about? Well we spent quite a bit of time on "The Philosopher King." Don't know much about that? Well listen and find out (or you could also google it). We also talked about our recent travels (spent a good chunk of time discussing international sex shows.)
But, Ian is there more? You bet there is! Listen today while supplies last!

EP#6 - Life is funny... so is the afterlife

EP#6 - Life is funny... so is the afterlife

Is death and the afterlife funny? No, but we try to make it so.
In this episode we talk about what could happen when we die. We cover heaven (why are there aliens here?!), we talk about reincarnation (Ugh, we have to do this whole life thing over again?), we discuss the simulation hypothesis (Andrea hates it) and we explore the forever sleep (Ian hates it).
Do we go on tangents? No... Psych! We do.
Special thanks to "fire." (why? Listen and find out)

EP#5 - You DO have to go to work, work, work, work.

EP#5 - You DO have to go to work, work, work, work.

We talk about work, work, work, work.
Andrea is a boss, I (Ian) am an employee so you can see, we're going to but heads on this.
So what do we talk about? Well, we talk about being on time (a personal struggle of mine), we get a little philosophical about the nature or work, and spend way too much time on the definition of work.
Did we go on tangents? You bet we did! It's not a Happy or Right podcast without tangents. (find the part where I give some behind the scene info about Jurassic Park 2. It's random, I know.)
Also, I want to give a shout out to "water." (why? Listen and find out)
