In this episode:

We unpack the chaos happening in the world, God’s wrath on “lawlessness and unrighteous” albeit in the age or dispensation of God’s “Grace” and what role do you as a believer or non-believer in Jesus Christ play by default? Such unpatterned and unpredictable combinations of color make this painting an obscure one - hard to understand, capable of wrenching any believers' Faith. 

 So let’s see how many pieces of this puzzle we can unpack…

Characters we examine: Joseph, Daniel , Eliakim

Shakespeare once said; “All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances; ...” From a biblical point of view, there is some truth to this because in Romans 8:28-30 (KJV) we read;  

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

So yes, there is an ongoing overarching plan that God has purposed for His creation and humanity, the main stage! Only, the characters in God’s play have their own “free-will” unlike any play that’s ever been directed.

Colossians 1:1-14



In this episode:

We start off with what has become a favourite and spiritual staple for me  - The Epistle of Paul to the Colossians. Why? This book is only four chapters but summarizes the context of life before creation, after creation, redemption of mankind through Jesus Christ’s death on the cross, burial and resurrection from the dead after three days, how he defeated all “the powers that be” – all  the powers of darkness, and how He then gave us that authority as new creations in Christ and then it ends with how we are to live our lives through this new man identity to bring Glory to the Father.

Welcome to Precept Upon Precept–Line Upon Line, a place where we go in more depth into the Word of God precept upon precept and Line upon Line. Because back in the days of Isaiah 28:9-13 that’s what God intended for the children of Israel, but because they ignored this softer approach He told them that “For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people”

Isaiah 28:9-13 (NKJV)

9 “Whom will he teach knowledge? And whom will he make to understand the message? Those just weaned from milk?Those just drawn from the breasts?

10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little.”

11 For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people,

12 To whom He said, “This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest,” And, “This is the refreshing”; Yet they would not hear.

13 But the word of the Lord was to them, “Precept upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little,” That they might go and fall backward, and be broken And snared and caught.
