Nneka Ogwumike found herself off the USA National team in 2016 despite winning a championship and WNBA MVP.  This was the first time in the history of the WNBA an MVP winner was left off the USA National squad.  Fast forward to 2021, and somehow she was left off the team again. She missed the cut while two 39 and 40 year old vets made the squad.  Should they excuse themselves from selection to make room for the younger players?  Did their relationship with Geno, a person on the selection committee, help them get on the team? 

Covid-19 has been a party pooper for many coaches and kids travel ball plans this year.  As the travel ball season reaches the most crucial time of the year it appears there will be no travel ball season.  Across the country, many players and coaches are training despite this fact but should this training be done at home, in small groups are in regular training sessions?    Are our coaches and trainers necessary for kids to get better?  Is the risk worth it?  I have my opinion. I welcome you to share yours.
