    Ce Ce Winans!

    Ce Ce Winans!

Grammy and Dove award winning artist Ce Ce Winans, who sang “Goodness of God,” on the American Idol finale on May 19, joins the team!  Ce Ce shares how she fell in love with the Father; and when life got so hard she didn’t think she could take another step.

Ce Ce also shares that the Lord is calling her into deeper water. She muses, “I pray God will work through me like he did in Acts!”  “People brought the sick into the streets and laid them on mats so that Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them,” (Acts 5:15).

Then, when Ce Ce won the Dove award for Artist of the Year in 2022, it was totally unexpected. She hadn’t rehearsed her speech. As she stepped up to the mic, what came out of her mouth was stunning and beautiful.

Next, what will Jesus do to reach someone? Whatever it takes. Case in point, Jesus showed up at the 2024 American Idol finale through Ce Ce Winans and Roman Collins. Then Ben asks Perry for the story behind his new single, Tears This Side of Eden. Tears was birthed in suffering, not victory.

“Let’s Give the Devil a Really Bad Day”

“Let’s Give the Devil a Really Bad Day”

Perry was on his way to the studio today when Satan shot a piercing arrow of accusation at him about one of his past sins. And then it occurred to him, “Oh the enemy’s opposing me cause I’ll be talking about the 1500 people groups in the world that still don’t have the gospel.” The enemy loathes the idea of these peoples being reached.

Mike Latsko of FrontiersUSA says, “Let’s give the devil a really bad day by reaching these people groups!” Mike shares the grief he feels about people like you who don’t have a chance to worship Jesus because no one’s brought the gospel to them. The 1500 include Muslims, Buddhists, Hindu, and tribal peoples.

One of the obstacles to reaching these 1500 is that we’re not sending anybody to them. Why?? Another obstacle is that all the easy places in the world have been reached. What’s left are the hardest places!

Another obstacle: We’re in a war. Satan and his minions have been doing all they can for 2000 years to keep these peoples from being reached. Then, God is doing something unprecedented in 2024. The gospel is spreading virally among previously unreached peoples. What if leaders in these movements could go to the 1500?

Last, the gospel has not reached every person and place on the planet. But it will happen: “The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea!” (Hab. 2:14). Be part of reaching the 1500 by downloading the Priority 100 prayer app, daily prayer points for the 100 people and places in the world with least access to the gospel.

Speak Life: Winsomely Sharing the Gospel

Speak Life: Winsomely Sharing the Gospel

Aaron Bolduc joins the team to coach us up in sharing the good news of Jesus. Aaron put his faith in Jesus listening to Moody Radio. And all these years later he’s a gifted sharer of the good news and is a gifted evangelism coach.

Here’s the ground we cover: First a provocative question that can lead to a deeper conversation, “Tell me what you think a Christian is in one sentence.”

And this more risky question: “Have you ever thought about what happens to you when you die?” Aaron shares how the Lord helped him reach a young Japanese man with this question.

Then, sharing the gospel fuels your walk with God! Also, Aaron’s epic failure: “Watch this!” Aaron was hanging out with his girlfriend when he spotted some Mormon missionaries. He wanted to impress his girlfriend but instead learned a huge lesson in humility.

Next, when Aaron was a youth pastor he took his students out to share Jesus. He kept getting yelled at. But a quiet teenage girl, sharing the gospel for the first time, led a woman to Jesus. That’s when Aaron learned that God doesn’t need us, but he wants us.

Then this listener question: “How do you reach someone who’s walked away from their faith?” And this one, “How do I gently and easily talk with someone about Jesus?”

    Got Bible Questions?

    Got Bible Questions?

Dr. Jeremy GrinnelI earned his PhD in Systematic Theology from Calvin Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI, and taught theology at the graduate level for nearly 15 years. He’s takes on Bible questions today.

In 2 Sam 14:2 and 2 Sam 20:16: These 2 passages speak of a wise woman. Why aren’t  women named more in the Old Testament?

What will we be doing for eternity? We were born with certain talents and special abilities; will these be brought with us into the age to come?

What do we say to those who claim, “the Bible has contradictions, therefore, God can't be trusted?”

In Exodus 4:24-26, what the what is going on here?? Moses is on his way to Egypt to deliver Israel, and God decides to kill him? But then his wife steps in and saves the day. Please explain!

Do you think the physical body of the risen Christ is the same body he had when he appeared physically in the Old Testament? And will our glorified bodies in the age to come be similar to our bodies now?

What’s the difference between “believes,” and "obey,” in John 3:36? “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

Last, how do you handle the storms of life? Shawna shares that when her father was dying she learned that she would do anything to avoid that storm. But, when we remember that God is with us we can face any storm.

Drop Everything and Help Me Now

Drop Everything and Help Me Now

Perry got a call from his suffering friend demanding his immediate help. In that moment Perry had to figure out how to be patient, kind, and wise all at the same time! Patience is super hard in our on-demand culture.

We used to have to wait days or weeks to get a package in the mail. Now we expect it the next day or even same day delivery. We live in a culture that is fascinated with efficiency and shortcuts.

We have become accustomed to having our wants and needs met “immediately.” But in the haste to become more efficient, we often lose the gift of patience and the art of self-control.

Clinical Director at Winning At Home, Emilie DeYoung, shares the benefits of learning to wait, how to cultivate patience, and the need to keep an eternal perspective 24/7/365.

Also, in this episode Shawna shares that we can talk with God while talking with others. She shares a time when God led her through a painfully difficult conversation.

Last, guilt says, “You did wrong.” Shame says, “You are wrong.” Perry shares about his journey with shame, how it poisons and cripples, and what is the only antidote for it!
