This week, Casey Neistat and Burger King WON the internet when the burger chain used Casey's tweets to promote their returning product, Burger King Funnel Cake Fries! Casey Neistat fired back with a "tongue and cheek" video, asking them to support his favorite charities, the Boys And Girls Club and Make A Wish Foundation.  



Burger King not only LOVED Casey Neistat's response, they agreed to give $25,000.00 to each of the charities Neistat mentioned, effectively winning the internet and showing that YouTubers for change is a very real thing.  



Even though this whole Casey Neistat Burger King "debacle" was taken as "a feud" by other news sources, Neistat and Burger King BOTH LOVED their exchange!

This week on Platform News, YouTube hiding conspiracy videos from recommendations, saying that conspiracy videos are to blame for the spread of Fake News on YouTube. Is this move an attack on Freedom of Speech? Can we trust the YouTube  A.I. to appropriately determine which videos are conspiracies?   



The YouTube Freedom of Speech guideline states that all opinions are welcome to be expressed, or broadcasted, on their platform, provided that it does no harm to another. With YouTube hiding videos, and with YouTube cracking down on Conspiracy videos, is the YouTube platform in direct violation of their own policies?  



These are very real questions, as YouTube hiding conspiracy videos isn't the only thing that's been happening on the platform lately, or we could be just taking this whole conspiracy videos nonsense and blowing it out of proportion!

The New YouTube Guidelines for 2019 are cracking down on challenge videos that are “harmful or dangerous,” citing the Bird Box Challenge and Jake Paul driving into traffic blindfolded as the motivation. Are these youtube new community guidelines coming a little too late or should YouTube Challenges be left alone?   



In defense of the YouTube Guidelines 2019, 2018 saw a tremendous amount of dangerous challenge videos, including the Tide Pod Challenge, which left countless youth injured and/or hospitalized. YouTube has tried to offer advice and have given challenge video guidelines in the past, but when creators like Jake Paul take them a bit too far and drive into traffic blind folded, it’s easy to see why new YouTube Guidelines in 2019 are necessary.   



YouTube Challenges are fun and many are safe to engage in, but many have taken these challenge videos too far and the YouTube new community Guidelines are the platform’s attempt to reigning in some of these crazy / harmful stunts.  



Personally, the new YouTube Guidelines 2019 on Challenge Videos is 100% okay with me, as many youth have been harmed by following the examples of Jake Paul, Logan Paul, and many others that took challenge videos way too far!

A new Logan Paul Scandal has hit YouTube as a result of his Going Gay For A Month Challenge, given on his new podcast, Impaulsive! Creators are still awaiting a YouTube response to Logan Paul and rehashing the annual question - should Logan Paul be forgiven?



Sure, issues with the Logan Paul Vlogs YouTube channel have become commonplace, but has the latest, Going Gay For One Month Logan Paul Scandal finally tipped his audience that the innocent, fun loving, Logan Paul Vines style of creating is a thing of the past? Will creators continue to point out issues with Logan Paul, or will they just completely write him off as a legit member of the creator community?



The problem with Logan Paul doesn't rest in his Suicide Forest video, or his Going Gay For A Month oopsie, but the fact that he boasts over 25 million subscribers on his various channels, which makes even this Logan Paul Scandal something that YouTube just wont pay too much attention to.
