Welcome to this little, separate series on the "hermetic principles".

Last time we explored the sixth hermetic principle of cause and effect and how it can be recognized.

In todays episode number 7, we will end this little series with the seventh and last hermetic principle, which states:

"Gender is in everything; Everything has its masculine and feminine principles; Gender manifests on all planes."

The hermetic principle of gender describes that gender, meaning masculine and feminine, exists in all things, not just in sex.

Last time we explored the fifth hermetic principle of polarity and how it can be recognized.

In todays episode number 6, we will continue with the sixth hermetic principle, which states:

"Every cause has its effect; Every effect has its cause; Everything happens according to law’ Chance is but a name for law not recognized’ There are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the law"

The hermetic principle of cause and effect describes that everything happens for a reason, that there is no such thing as "chance", that each action brings about an effect and provoces a whole chain of reactions in the world.

Last time we explored the fourth hermetic principle of polarity and how it can be recognized. In todays episode number 5, we will continue with the fifth hermetic principle, which states:

"Everything flows, out and in; Everything has its tides; All things rise and fall; The pendulum swing manifests in everything; The measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; Rhythm compensates."

The hermetic principle of rhythm describes that there is a changing motion to everything in existence, a back and forth movement like the swing of a pendulum, where every movement in one direction brings about an equal movement in the other direction.

Last time we explored the second hermetic principle of vibration and how it can be recognized. In todays episode number 4, we will continue with the fourth hermetic principle, which states:

"Everything is dual; Everything has poles; Everything has its pair of opposites; Like and unlike are the same; Opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; Extremes meet; All truths, are but half-truths; All paradoxes may be reconciled."

The hermetic principle of polarity describes that there is a pair of opposites to everything, a dualism of two opposing poles that are essentially the same. It teaches the student that the two contrasting poles with opposing qualities are actually just two different aspects or phases of the whole and not two separated and distinct things. Together they form the unity of the phenomenon itself.

In todays episode number 3, we will continue with the third hermetic principle, which states:

"Nothing rests; Everything moves; Everything vibrates."

The hermetic principle of vibration describes that everything in existence is in constant flow, always changing and moving. At the fundamental level our whole reality and all the different expressions of creation can be broken down to levels of frequency or vibration.
It embodies the truths that ‘nothing rests,’ ‘everything is in motion,’ and ‘everything vibrates.’ It explains that matter, energy, and even spirit, are simply varying rates of vibration.

In todays episode number 2, we will continue with the second hermetic principle, which states: "As above, so below; as below, so above. As within, so without; as without, so within."

The hermetic principle of correspondence is all about the connection and interaction between the macrocosm and the microcosm, the collective and the individual or the inner world and the outer world.
