This week we chatted with John Matthews & Bridie Corrigan Matthews, the incredible couple behind Kildevin House. Kildevin house is a fully restored Georgian-style mansion on 88ac in Co Westmeath. Kildevin house is a place that is steeped in history and was once home to Meredith Merry Johnston who played rugby for Ireland between 1877 and 1884 and captained the team to its first international rugby win. Meredith's wife Edith Mary Jane Wise was a first cousin of William B Yeats

John & Bridie purchased the house over 20 years ago when it was in considerable disrepair. Over the last 2 decades, they have worked tirelessly to restore this historic house with great sensitivity and attention to detail, which ensured the integrity of the house.
