    Episode 295: Julie Lee Kelin

On November 2, 2001, a 40-year-old woman is viciously bludgeoned and strangled to death inside her apartment in San Diego, California. Family, friends, and neighbors of the mother of one and passionate advocate for those living with Alagille Syndrome, are stunned and heartbroken, especially her teen daughter. While the killer is quickly apprehended, this doesn’t lessen the pain when his identity is revealed. If anything, it highlights the tragedy of the victim’s loss and only leads to more questions about the disturbing details of her death, with those left behind mourning the passing of someone who still had so much to give. In episode 295, Jac and Alexis detail the sickening murder of Julie Kelin at the hands of Gabriel John Bradway, the dangers of obsession, and why the safest place for perpetrators of such crimes who fail to respect other’s boundaries in such a malicious way is behind bars.

One of the best!

Very professional, warmhearted and entertaining. Along with ‚Crime Junkie‘ one of the best True Crime Podcasts you can find!

The best

Great host dynamic. Exceptional storytelling. And somehow the Thursday killing times are the most entertaining… or maybe I just feel like I’m talking to my (listening to) my besties.

Alexis Linkletter is NOT guilty!

I first heard of The First Degree through Jac‘s Instagram, but never have listened to any podcast, ever. Then COVID came…I bought a smartwatch and started to go on walks. I quickly got bored only listening to music, so I decided to try a podcast. I‘m a huge true crime fan, started to watch „Medical Derectives“ (Forensic Files‘ German title) when I was like twelve 🙈. So I started with The First Degree and listened to three to five episodes a day. I was HOOKED!
It‘s fascinating, horrifying and fun as hell!
I love the girl bashing Billy, but I hate the ‘hate reviews’! From the first episode I thought: ‘wow, I love their voices!’ How can someone not love Alexis?! She’s the boss!
I also tried other podcasts, hated all of them, except Unravelled 🤷🏼‍♀️ my next step is to order merch. Sure as hell hope, you ship to Germany!
Tschüss, ich liebe euch! Nicole 🔥
