Diary of Someone with a Pattern of Avoidance and Withdrawl

Diary of Someone with a Pattern of Avoidance and Withdrawl

In today’s episode of the Flynn Skidmore podcast, I discuss a personal pattern that has challenged and defined a part of who I am in relationships. I discuss the times I've walked away from relationships, leaving others feeling hurt due to my lack of communication. However, it’s not a simple story of complete avoidance; it's a pattern that doesn’t define all my relationships, as many have grown stronger and deeper over the years. However, the pattern of withdrawal absolutely exists for me, an...

    Why You Feel So Lonely

    Why You Feel So Lonely

In this episode, we explore the concept of human tribes and the pervasive sense of disconnection many feel today. We look at how our shift from tribal living to agricultural societies marked the beginning of what I call the 'great disintegration'—a move away from a unified, integrated experience of life. This shift, driven by fear and the pursuit of resource accumulation, has left many feeling tribeless and isolated in a fragmented world.Despite these challenges, I encourage you to create you...

Stands out!

In a sea of either shallow pop psychology tips and tricks or long data-packed podcasts, The Flynn Skidmore podcast really stands out. Flynn has this incredible ability to dive deep into the most interesting subjects of human existence. It's not just what he talks about, but the way he ties everything together. For the first time, I'm able to understand concepts that maybe I've heard before or read somewhere else, but Flynn is the only one who makes everything click for my analytical and rational mind.

Thank you, Flynn, for making complex concepts graspable for all of us. Unlike many gurus who impose their ideas with "you should," "you have to," or "this is the only way," Flynn generously shares his knowledge and encourages us to experience things for ourselves. This approach makes me trust him more.

Flynn, you've helped me make peace with who I am and understand that I have the power to create my reality exactly how I want it. And as a bonus, you have amazing taste in music. I also appreciate how you tie everything together—from your social media posts and the questions you pose to the information in your newsletter, all converging in your podcast.

I also want to thank you and Emily for opening the door to your relationship and letting us listen to you interact and laugh. It's so inspirational. You've helped me embrace life as a fun creation that we engage in every day and every second, and this perspective has positively influenced all areas of my life, including relationships.

A transformative Epiphany

I followed Flynn on Instagram for a long time but didnt know he had a podcast until I heard him and in a To be Magnetic Podcast Episode.

The way he spoke about parts work and IFS was such a transformative eye-opener. At that moment something in me just shifted towards creating joy and ease within myself.

I love his Solo episodes and his way of explaining things with so much gentle insight and wisdom. You think you heard it all and then there comes his Podcast. The information goes far beyond the usual content that you see on IG about relationships and pursuing the life you desire. Forever grateful for this mans work💖

Great & actionable insights for self-growth

I discovered Flynn on instagram a month ago and was immediately hooked in his content. I love his straight-forward way of speaking, feels very natural like his talking to you directly and having the insights as he goes. I started to listen to the podcast this month too and every episode I clicked it’s worth the time. The latest with Liz was a total eye-opener. This review is written by someone who has many years of psychoanalysis experience, and still what Flynn brings comes in simple but deep and practical ways. Enjoy the listen/ the ride friends.
