TRC MEETS - Life After The Olympics Was Not What I Expected...

TRC MEETS - Life After The Olympics Was Not What I Expected...

The Running Channel Meets is where we talk to real runners with incredible stories. Each episode we speak with people who inspire us to run, and give our guests an opportunity to tell their stories, often for the first time.
In this episode we chat with Colin Jackson. He's an Olympic silver medalist, two time world champion, and was undefeated at the European Championships for 12 years but that's not why we wanted to talk to him. It was his adjustment to life after athletics and his battles with panic attacks that we felt was a story that people needed to hear.
Topics that we discuss in this episode:
    Anxiety
    Panic Attacks

restlessmodem ,

The running channel is a significant part of my running journey

The diverse group of hosts on different levels of experience and training make the topics they discuss very accessible and they keep finding new interesting issues to discuss for me as a beginner / intermediate runner. When I am struggling to get out of my door to go on a run, I just watch a video on the channel or listen to an episode of this podcast and I find motivation again.

Best/ most entertaining as in wholesome Running Podcast out there

I love the chemistry between the three hosts and their way of interacting with one another. It is really interesting as in you learn a lot about running no matter your current capabilities but it is also very entertaining as well. So even when Andy is teaching/ answering questions it never feels nerdy etc. so keep up the good work. I’m a runner from Germany who has spent a year at Uni in England in 06/07 and listening to you guys always takes me back to those glorious days ;-)

Informative and Fun

I really like your show.
It would be nice if you could make it longer and still keep up the good quality. It’s a little bit too short for my longruns ;)
