Do you find that your friends now a days depend on the compatibility of your parenting styles?  Can your kids have friends who have been brought up differently?

In episode 19, the ladies talk about parenting styles in episode 2 of Mommy Wars.

They discuss the differences in parenting styles today versus years ago. Lawn mower, helicopter, free range parenting, snow plow and light house parenting are all new sub categories of parenting styles that are commonly spoken about these days.

How well do a helicopter parent and a free range parent get along?  Can someone who allows their kids never ending freedoms befriend someone who won't let their children out of their sight?  What about the children?  Can kids of helicopter parents be friends with free range kids?

We discuss all these things on our latest episode!

The women discuss how April handles the nature of his job, and how it impacts her mental and physical well being.  She has had many anxious moments, when her spouse was out on patrol and shares some of them with us. She shares some of her sleepless nights, and worrying  especially during the civil unrest that plagued most of the USA in 2020.

Jenn and Laura revisit the many times their kids got sick during vacation and ruined the whole trip.  Trips were cancelled, camping gear destroyed, theme park days were wasted, family and friends were abandoned because of child illnesses. Jenn and Laura revisit when Jenn had her second child when her husband was deployed in the Middle East.  Not only did Jenn have her second child without her husband, but she was stationed overseas in Japan.  Her two children were to be 17 months apart, and Jenn was only 22 at the time of this birth!  Come listen to the incredible story as we find out how Jenn had her baby on her own, in a foreign country, with her first child still a baby himself!
