Brilliant goofy conversations
One of my favourite podcasts. Pete never stops keeping my grinning, whether I already know where he's going with things or not.
Consistently really strong selection of guests for the mood of the podcast
Got a bit turned off by marketing pitches in the beginning
Starting off with ads about avoiding “toxins” on the one hand and non-FDA-approved CBD supplements (which are usually a bit of a scam either way) on the other hand turned this into a “nope” for me.
Ridiculous not weird
Pete Holmes makes this show feel so ridiculous with his loud, forced and unpleasant laughter. The noises he makes make his guests uncomfortable and the listener annoyed. If he wouldn’t try to be funny and loud every 20 seconds, it would actually be a good show. Pete Holmes is a very smart guy and has very good questions, mostly at the end when he asks his guests about their relationship with god. I would definitely listen to the show if he stops doing those unfunny loud noises.
