Each week we will be joined by a guest to discuss a movie and the importance of film restoration, and for this episode we are joined by film journalist Alistair Ryder to chat all things Terry Gilliam’s dystopian trip through time 12 Monkeys, which earlier this year received a new release from Arrow Video, including a Zavvi exclusive steelbook.  

A cult classic, the film is set in a future world devastated by disease, following a convict (Bruce Willis) as he’s sent back in time to gather information about the man-made virus that wiped out most of humanity.

The film recently arrived on 4K, courtesy of a new limited edition release from Second Sight, coming complete with new artwork, a hardback book filled with essays and a selection of art cards.

The story follows a single mother and her child as they fall into a deep well of paranoia when an eerie children's book titled Mr. Babadook manifests in their home.

The story follows an ex-call girl and her husband as they go on the run from the mafia after stealing a shipment of drugs from her former pimp, and stars a great ensemble cast which includes Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Gary Oldman, James Gandolfini, Brad Pitt, Christopher Walken and so many more brilliant actors.

The film recently received a new 4K release from our friends at Arrow Video, which includes a Zavvi exclusive steelbook, all of which feature newly commissioned artwork and both the director’s cut and theatrical cut of the movie.

Despite being a commercial failure at the box office, the film went on to find an audience on home video developing quite the cult following. A satire of the action genre, it follows a young boy as he is magically transported to the fictional world of his favourite movie character Jack Slater, of course played by none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger.

A cult classic, Oldboy is regarded as being one of the best neo-noir films of all-time. Based on the Japanese manga of the same name, the story follows a man named Oh Dae-Su as he is released from 15 years of imprisonment, then embarking on a quest for vengeance on his unknown captor.
