 How do you find your ideal career path? It's a question a lot of students will have as they search for their first graduate job. 

Why is it important for students to take the time to think about the career path that they might want?

I think the simplest answer we can give to that question is you spend an awful lot of time at work. 

Whilst there's nothing wrong with a career move and you've always got that option going forward, it's obviously advantageous in many ways to build towards the career, the job and the life that you want from the earliest possible stage. 

So it's a good idea to start thinking about longer-term goals as and when you can so that you can get on track as early as possible. 

When you're a student in the midst of your studies, it can be difficult to think even five years in advance, let alone 10-20.

But there are a few really important things to do to plan your career path.
