5MFH Episode 29
You may notice an accelerated pace for this week's episode.
I've used an audio effect to get it juuust under the five minutes I have left on my free access to podcast hosting. A decision will have to be made shortly.
This link will take you to Claudia Trave's 'side gig' of creating artistic, informative scientific illustrations to assist academic and industry report writers and paper authors in communicating their ideas in a way that text alone cannot.

Enjoy.

5MFH Episode Twenty-Six
Wasting less of what's valuable. It's a proposition against which it is difficult to argue.
This week, in an overly-long episode, I talk about physical waste and more, mention the Unicef program that takes the shrapnel left in your pocket after your overseas jaunts, and mention a hobby of mine.
Thanks to our fantastic speaker, Helen Kerley, for providing some fantastic information for us.
Links abound.

Episode 25
If we try to do too many things at once, we rarely do any one of them very well. Getting back into the habit of focusing on one task at a time could be the secret to better productivity. And paying attention to what's going on, both around us and within ourselves, just might save our lives.
The work Dr Craig Hassed of Monash University does in explaining the practice and benefits of mindfulness is worth investigating. Here's a link to a talk he gave in 2011. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9O7vd2uGO0w

If things aren't the way you think they should be, maybe give them a gentle shove in what you think is a helpful direction. Then see what's happened.
