Ham Radio All Portable Discussion Zone Charlie NJ7V - Dan KC7MSU - Brian W7JET

We hear from Allen Le Vie KH7AL in this episode. He shares stories about adventures outdoors while operating ham radio. He grew up western Washington State and retired from the Air Force in 2020 after nearly 23 years on active duty. He loves operating mountaintop portable while participating in Summits On The Air (SOTA). As of March 2024 he has over 135 activations. all of which are unique. He has a YouTube channel where he promotes portable QRP operating. Many of his activations are in the state of Montana.

He also serves as the SOTA Association Manager for the Hawai'i Islands, KH6 association.

Steve Hartley is an expert QRP homebrewer and kit builder. He has completed numerous projects since getting his start back in 1983, before he was licensed as a radio amateur. He is a well-known advocate of ham radio, serving in various leadership positions for amateur radio organizations.
