There is so much more to being a genuine Christ follower than just basking in the sense of “I am saved and going to heaven.” What are you doing that shows to those around you that you truly believe.

Simply considering oneself to be a religious person is not enough. Religion that God, the Father, considers unpolluted is evidenced by both an outer expression of compassion for orphans, widows, and all those in lowly positions as well as an inner character that remains unpolluted by the temptations of the world.

Merely listening to the word is not sufficient. True freedom and blessing come from remembering and continually acting upon the Word.
