A podcast about the vulnerable wildlife in Britain. Wildlife across the world is facing threats, and whilst we all want to protect some of our favourite, charismatic species like polar bears and rhinos, it’s easy to forget the animals we have right on our doorstep. So, this podcast aims to shine a light on the fantastic species that live right here in the UK, because as a wise man once told me, to save the world, you must first understand what’s on it.

    Hedgehogs with Hugh Warwick

Our first episode! Welcome to Our Threatened Species, a podcast about the vulnerable wildlife in Britain. Wildlife across the world is facing threats, and whilst we all want to protect some of our favourite species like polar bears and rhinos, it’s easy to forget the animals we have right on our doorstep. So, this podcast aims to shine a light on the fantastic species that live right here in the UK, because as a wise man once told me, that to save the world, you must first understand what’s on it.

Today we speak to Hugh Warwick, the spokesperson for the British Hedgehog Preservation Society, ecologist, writer, and the worlds only hedgehog stand up comedian (well.. comedy about hedgehogs, he isn’t a hedgehog himself ). He has written 5 fantastic books, and runs courses on hedgehog conservation. We thought he would be the perfect person to talk to us and teach us about the wonderful prickly species that are hedgehogs!
