Do we truly understand what it means to have the presence of a father in our homes? Having a father in our homes or lives brings stability, guidance, protection, security, boundaries and much more. While many may not have had this experience, there is also a parallel and more perfect model of a father, in God. Elder James Wilson delivered an excellent reminder that God, our Father, wants to not only be a father to us but he wants to reside on the inside of us and be present in every area of our lives. We must then be willing to relinquish our old way of doing things and embrace His ways by aligning our life with His Word. He will show a new and better way of living because He is the eternal Father.

In a reflection about life, Pastor Donnie McClurkin reminds us of the reality of time. Time never stops. Time is a blessing. Every moment that we have is a blessing and although we may at times be duped into complaining about bad times in life, we Christians who know God understand His purposes. We who have the propensity to squander opportunities and time, can make up for lost time because God has invested His grace to us and in Him, we can redeem lost time for it is never too late with God.

In a probing reflection, Pastor Donnie McClukin elaborated on the primary reason for the socially big gap between generations. He hones in on the disciplinary aspects from the older generation which is a preparation for life's lessons ahead. In the same way God knows that life will bring us to the point of exhaustion so He has put in place strengths for our struggles to keep us from failing. So even at our lowest state, God will give us more grace for the journey ahead if we endure to the end.

We live in a day where social media has become the avenue of so-called experts of various topics and certain information and people gravitate to the convenience of social media to learn and get the information, knowledge, or insight of what they are looking for.
In this sermon, Elder James Wilson poses the question: What do we do with knowledge as we acquire it? Do we store it as mere information? Do we boast about it because we are better equipped than others? Or do we neglect to consider it? Or misuse or abuse it?
To have knowledge is to really apply and live out that knowledge in our lives and experience it.
