I’ve spent over 20 years studying the emotions and experiences that bring meaning and purpose to our lives, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s this: We are hardwired for connection, and connecting requires courage, vulnerability, and conversation. I want this to be a podcast that’s real, unpolished, honest, and reflects both the magic and the messiness of what it means to be human. Episodes will include conversations with the people who are teaching me, challenging me, confusing me, or maybe even ticking me off a little. I'll also have direct conversations with you about what I’m learning from new research, and we'll do some episodes dedicated to answering your questions. We don’t have to do life alone. We were never meant to.

I absolutely love this podcast. Thank you Brené for sharing your wisdom and create such an incredible space for your guests. I listen to this podcast while my daughter sleeps and it’s always such an inspiration!
Ps that episode on Apologizing wow! 🤩
I love this podcast
Your Work on Shame, perfectionism and vulnerability has changed my life. And the episodes on apologizing. Thanks
Love the science behind it all
I was very impressed with the first podcasts where her own research comes into play, for example in the excellent episode on the art of saying sorry.
In later episodes, BB is a catalyst for other people's products such as a new book. In the conversation with the leader of the church, she hears him say that with adversity people become stronger, and there I really miss her to draw attention to her own research. It is clear BB is on a spiritual journey and that she wants to inspire others. I have great respect for that. But personally, I prefer the super nerd who passionately talks about her own research results, or at least brings her own data into play. Maby because I’m european, but all this talk on praice the lord, and positive thinking, makes my teeth hurt - I prefer science that inspire and makes you wonder...
