The Braves get a chance to catch their breath with an off day on Monday, but then it’s time to get this thing in gear.

The Atlanta Braves got a well-pitched game and utilized some timely hitting to claim a 3-1 victory on Sunday and take the weekend series from the Oakland Athletics at Truist Park.

With the struggles of the Atlanta Braves offense continuing, many are starting to place blame at the feet of hitting coach Kevin Seitzer. Spencer Schwellenbach had a solid big league debut for the Atlanta Braves but the offense couldn’t do much of anything to help him out. While the continued struggles of the Braves offense is perplexing, offense in general is down throughout all of baseball. Reynaldo López will look to help the Braves avoid losing a series at home to the Washington Nationals. But the offense faces another tough challenge on the mound.
