    Lou Sanders (Part One)

    Lou Sanders (Part One)

This week on Walking The Dog, we’re taking a walk in North London with the brilliant comedian Lou Sanders. Lou has appeared on shows such as QI and Would I Lie To You? and she also won the eighth series of Taskmaster.
Lou is pretty obsessed with her two cats - she’s even moving house for them, but we think Ray won her over and scored a few points for Team Dog. Lou has a long history with cats - she even had one with showbiz aspirations... She tells us about being an alcoholic at a young age, moving out of her family home at 15 and how the complex relationship she had with her family has healed over time.
Lou’s book What’s That Lady Doing? is coming out in paperback on 18th July. You can pre-order your copy here!

    Simon Brodkin (Part Two)

Join Emily and Raymond back on Hampstead Heath with the brilliant comedian Simon Brodkin.
Simon tells us about pulling off his legendary stunts, how he has become comfortable with himself and how he feels more of a connection with his work now he is performing stand up out of character.
Simon is strictly team cat but we think after this walk he’s got a bit of a soft spot for Ray. We had a brilliant walk - but make sure you stick around until the end of the podcast - because the tone suddenly shifts…
Simon has added final extra dates to his stand up tour Screwed Up - including two extra shows at the Hammersmith Apollo. Tickets are selling fast, so head to simonbrodkin.com for dates and more details.

    Simon Brodkin (Part One)

    Simon Brodkin (Part One)

This week on Walking The Dog, we’re taking a sunny North London stroll with Simon Brodkin! Simon is a brilliant stand up comedian, well known and loved for creating the characters Lee Nelson and Jason Bent, as well his hugely publicised stunts, which include throwing golf balls at Donald Trump and handing Theresa May a P45. In recent years, Simon has started performing stand up as himself, and he is currently touring his show Screwed Up.
Simon is a cat lover - he has two Lilac Burmese cats at home, but we think he and Ray really hit it off! Simon tells us about his childhood in Hampstead Garden Suburb, as part of a family where he felt like the black sheep - then how he went on to become a doctor and later made the switch to comedy. Simon had a later in life ADHD diagnosis and he explains how the diagnosis has helped illuminate parts of his earlier life.
Simon has added final extra dates to his stand up tour Screwed Up - including two extra shows at London's Hammersmith Apollo. Tickets are selling fast, so head to simonbrodkin.com for dates and more details.
