I love Makato Shinkai. But like every person who ever saw 5 centimetres per second, I hated
him when the movie ended because of its morose and depressing theme. The shock of such a realistically sad film from such an unexpected source has probably made many hate the film. This podcast is in contrast in support of this great film. I believe that the film is an excellent example of how films should be. Here is my attempt to defend morose artworks through the example of 5 Centimetres per Second.
