I Stand Here Ironing
This is a short story written by Tillie Olsen in 1961. Its a story of a phone call from her teen daughter’s school and all that it brings up for her. I actually got emotional towards the end of reading this story. May we all be more than the dress and much more than just the iron.

A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings
In this episode I read a well known short story by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Garcia Marquez is known to mix realistic and fantasitical ideas in his fiction and in the screen adaptation of this story he begins with a quotation from Hebrews 13:2 “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unaware.”
