Dr. Ibrahim Al-Marashi on (Resetting) Happiness Resetting Homo Sapiens

    • Educación

A conversation with Dr. Ibrahim Almarashi about the definition (and usefulness) of happiness as a concept. Together we explore how we might reset this often abstract and vague term to allow for a more genuine, integral, and profound experience of purpose and fulfillment at the individual and collective level.

Ibrahim is a visiting professor at IE University, an Associate Professor of Middle East History at California State University San Marcos, and a summer school professor of Conflict Management and Analysis at Charles University, Prague.

He obtained his doctorate in Modern History at the University of Oxford, completing a thesis on the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, part of which was plagiarized by the British government in the lead up to the 2003 Iraq War, otherwise known as the “Dodgy Dossier.”

Since the 20th of March is the International Happiness Day, our monthly theme at the IE University Center for Health, Wellbeing, and Happiness is happiness!

Join us between the 14th and 19th of March for our Happiness Week, where the center will host a series of events for our community under the topic of Community and Belonging. Link to register here.
