Episode 3: VW Emissions Scandal Talk To Thompsons

We don’t just use the phrase ‘Talk to Thompsons’ we truly believe it is good to talk.  Which is why we have launched the Talk to Thompsons podcast and thank you for joining us in our discussion today.

In the unpredictable world we find ourselves in due to the coronavirus outbreak, many of our current, past and new clients have many questions about various topics.  Is their case still progressing?  Are Thompsons still operating as normal? What rights do they have at work?

In today’s episode our host Paul Kissen speaks to the team at Thompsons who are handling over 2000 client claims against VW Group in relation to the 2015 “Dieselgate” scandal, which revealed that thousands VW Group cars, including models by Audi, Seat & Skoda, had been fitted with defeat devices in order to conform to emissions tests around the globe.  We discuss the implications to consumer trust, environmental impact and the performance of these vehicles once the recall ‘fix’ had been applied.

7.  If the fix was applied, what date did this happen?

8.  Date of purchase/possession of vehicle?

9.  Has the car been sold?

10.  Date of sale/disposition?
