Writers Week is a school wide celebration of the writing craft. Through the written word, we share stories, lives, and ideas. We also learn from professionals who use writing in their careers, such as authors, journalists, comedians, lecturers, actors, songwriters, musicians, even business people! These adults bring valuable information to our student body about the possibilities that are out there for those who enjoy writing. 2024 is year 16 for Writers Week and the 4th season of our podcast.
Mackenzie Day, our Journalism and Yearbook teacher, and Skylar Stumpf, one of our fabulous Journalism students, will be interviewing Matt Thompson, a writer, teacher, and producer based in Los Angeles ( and brother to WW friend, Jessica Vishy).
The episode also features poems by students, Wesely Williams and Damia Jackson...AND a science joke by Mr. Patterson!

Mrs. Patterson reminds everyone to keep March 9th open for the Writers Week Community Expo. ( 5:30-8:30Encore Performances and One Acts and other pieces from the Theater Troupe will take place. We will also have a vendor fair featuring Student entrepreneurs, and authors from the community. Main Street Books in St. Charles will be on hand with books from some of our presenters during the week.
