    Lit Mags and Switch Kicks, with Grant Young

    Grant Young (he/him) is a 25-year-old writer based in San Francisco. He is an MFA candidate at the University of San Francisco, where he also graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and played on the baseball team for five years.

    He is currently revising an essay collection on his time playing Division-1 baseball at USF, that captures the wide range of experiences that arise within a collegiate men’s sports locker room.

    His published work has appeared in HAD, JAKE, Idle Ink, and The Twin Bill.

    Grant is also the Founding Editor of Clinch, a literary magazine for the martial arts. He trains Muay Thai in his spare time and watches an alarming amount of UFC.

    Ryan Schulte and I sat down to discuss A History of Violence (2005) dir. by David Cronenberg. 

    Ryan Schulte is a graduate of Macaulay Honors College @ CUNY Hunter College. His first nonfiction chapbook, 'Notes on Water and Blood,' was published by Greying Ghost Press in 2020. His fiction has appeared in Hello America Stereo Cassette's Summer and Autumn Mixtapes, and is forthcoming in EOAGH. He is currently at work on a collection of short stories, working as a farmer, and splitting his time between New York and Europe.
