3 episodios

Hi! I'm Leslie, and I write black women's fiction/chick lit, depending on how you slice it, lol, along with the occasional short story story and essay.

I'd love for you to check out Season 1, Eps 1-4 of "Episodes," my fiction series about four black women friends who have each other's through both the hilarious and the heartbreaking. It's funny and real. I'll be you $2 that Jaime, Sylvie, Camille, and/or Sabrina, and/or one of their situations, will remind you in some way of yourself or someone you know.

The complete of Season 1 of Episode will be available for purchase soon!

Please also check out my production of my personal essay about my awful pregnancy. If you've ever had a rough experience, you'll relate. And you'll laugh. And grimace. (Don't worry, there's a happy ending and a cameo by the kid who made me so ill.)

If you like what you hear, leave a review! It helps! And forward the podcast to someone else who'll love it. Huge, huge thanks in advance!

Personal Essay: The Pregnancy from F***ing Hell

Personal Essay: The Pregnancy from F***ing Hell

Hi everybody! I hope you’ve been well.
Thanks for listening to my personal essay about my not-so-fun pregnancy. Hopefully, you laughed a lot and felt as happy as I was by the end:).
If you enjoyed it, please consider leaving a review on iTunes--t'would be much appreciated.
And my everlasting thanks to the good people at the following music sites, from which I downloaded the music—so grateful:

In other news, as of this writing in October 2023, I'm almost finished with the audiobook for my novel, 99 Problems! (The print version has BEEN done, but the audiobook has taken manymanymanymanymany hours. Did I mention it's taken many hours?) I'd go ahead and publish the print version, but ppl don't read books these days. They listen. I understand--that's how I consume most books these days...although there's still nothing like actually reading a book.

Anyhoo...very unfortunately, my writer's website, cultivated for over a decade, is no more. It's a long tale of my website hosting provider deleting it in mere seconds and it being un-recoverable. So I can't share as much as I'd like about the book right now. Those of you who've been with me for a while already know what's what, though. (If you're new here, I'm not above sending out a chapter or two of my humorous dramedy about a millennial lawyer who's doing her best to keep her family, her relationship, and her cases together. Reach out if you're interested.)

And as soon as I'm done Producing Book 1 of 99 Problems, I'll be recording Book 1 of Episodes, my black women's fiction/black women's chick lit series about four women who have each other's backs through both the hilarious and the heartbreaking.

Why? Because Book 1 of that series is DONE and ready to gooooo.

I'm coming for all of it.

I haven't been active lately on  my writer's Instagram account.   That's putting it mildly. This is because I've been writing, recording, editing the recording,  doing my meditation teaching, kinda raising the kiddo, and on and on and on. But I will be active again soon. I kinda have to be because I'll soon be releasing 99 Problems. But I like being on there when I'm on there. So, follow me there if you feel so inclined.

In the meantime, thanks again for listening:).
