Jason Weiser and Carissa Weiser tell stories from myths, legends, and folklore that have shaped cultures throughout history. Some, like the stories of Aladdin, King Arthur, and Hercules are stories you think you know, but with surprising origins. Others are stories you might not have heard, but really should. All the stories are sourced from world folklore, but retold for modern ears. These are stories of wizards, knights, Vikings, dragons, princesses, and kings from the time when the world beyond the map was a dangerous and wonderful place.

Great podcast
I started listening to podcasts as a way to learn English, now I really enjoy listening to them and Myths and Legends is by far my favorite, it is funny, gripping and so interesting. It is also just the right length (40'). Thank you!!
Amazing!
I love hearing about myths from different parts of the world. I’ve really enjoyed the Korean and Japanese stories because I had never heard about them before. I am also LOVING every episode on Arthurian legends because all I had read was “once and future king” and it left out SO MUCH and it mixed characters and the Arthurian universe is SO MUCH more interesting now.
Love it!
Myths and legends told with hilarious and sarcastic flair. Great to hear the original stories of modern day fairy tales and other stories we think we know so well. Thanks!!
