    For our final episode of Season 1, Anel is joined by Ariana Ocampo. Ariana is a 29-year-old UX Designer with 5 years in the industry who is passionate about holistic product design, ethical technology, and user-tested solutions that are both intuitive and inclusive.

    Welcome back to the fourth episode of Nightingale! Today we are joined by Ria Walia, a Mathematics with Management and Finance student at King’s College London. 



    She has completed over 15 internships including Summer Trading Analyst at HSBC, Assurance at EY and Finance Analyst at Procter & Gamble. As well as this, Ria was invited to the House of Lords for her start-up idea and named ‘Top 10 Student Start-up of the Year’ by Enterprise Nation and has been awarded ‘Young Entrepreneur’ at the Youth Awards and named the 14th most influential student in the UK. Ria is currently a Social Media Manager of a fintech payment platform, SimplyPayMe and a Business Development Officer at another start-up, CocoRio.

     

    In her spare time, Ria runs a YouTube Channel, Instagram page and a blog sharing her experiences in the hope to help and support other students with careers and entrepreneurship, these are all linked below.

    Shelly contributes to the delivery of higher education and helps to coach and mobilise men and women from all backgrounds to pursue their professional and personal aspirations. Shelly is a CEO and Founder of Alpastute, an attorney at law and she has earned her PhD in Public Services Management from the King’s Business School in 2020. 



    She closely works with Careers & Employability as an advisor for the Natural and Mathematical Sciences faculty at King’s. In this episode, we will explore the importance of cover letters and their structure, discuss postgraduate education options as well as entrepreneurship opportunities.

    In this episode, we welcome our second guest, Rita Kakati-Shah. Rita is an award-winning, gender, diversity, inclusion and career strategist, speaker and advisor to Fortune 500 companies. 



    Rita graduated from the King’s Business School in 2001, with a degree in Mathematics and Management, and she’s actively involved with the King’s Leadership Mentoring program, Diversity Mentoring Program, Entrepreneurial Institute and is also a member of the New York and Los Angeles Alumni Committees. Rita was also awarded the International Alumnus of the Year Award.




    She is also the Founder and CEO of Uma, an international platform that partners with organizations to attract, retain and develop women and minorities in the workforce.

    Nightingale is a podcast brought to you by the KCL Womxn in STEM. The aim of this podcast is to help inspire women currently studying a degree in STEM to pursue their career further, and help them navigate the resources available to them in order to achieve their goals and excel within their chosen field, whether it’s industry or research etc.



    Nightingale is hosted by Anel Yegemberdiyeva, a third-year Maths with Finance and Management student at King’s College London. Anel is the President of the KCL Women in STEM and she is passionate about Technology, Automation and Data Science.
