In this episode, we join Nicole Denil from Microsoft. She comes to talk to us about her journey, Smart Devices, and Security. What is Microsoft Azure? Microsoft Azure often referred to as Azure, is a cloud computing service created by Microsoft for building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through Microsoft-managed data centers. Part of Microsoft Azure is Digital Twins. Azure Digital Twins is an Internet of Things (IoT) platform that enables you to create a digital representation of real-world things, places, business processes, and people. Gain insights that help you drive better products, optimize operations and costs and create breakthrough customer experiences.

In this episode, Nicole talks to us about career options within the tech industry that go beyond strictly STEM roles. She leads global sales for the Internet of Things and has a background in business. She advises learning as much as you can about the industry, not just the business aspect. As a general manager at Microsoft, she owns the relationship with Microsoft’s major customers and works to mainstream the Internet of Things. One incredible aspect of her work is that she has a global role and has had an opportunity to explore cultures around the world. Despite the globality of her work, she still has a strong sense of community within Microsoft and within her own life.
